Encouraging groups to work as a single, effective unit; Building Bridges sees participants using the equipment provided to construct a freestanding, fully mobile bridge that stretches from one side of a simulated ravine to the other.
Each group or team starts with the same basic set of tools & equipment to try and construct their bridge with. Money to purchase additional building materials from the workshop store can be earned by successfully completing various side activities & challenges. All bridges must be completed by the time the giant countdown clock hits 0.
During the finale, the structure will undergo a series of tests to its durability. In the first test, the group must drive a remote controlled vehicle over their bridge without causing any damage or crashing over the edge. If the structure passes the first trial, the second stage of testing sees weight added until destruction occurs.
