Human Table Football

Football is widely regarded as the most popular sport in the world… So what better way to play the popular pub sport of table football than on a pitch 200 times bigger?

 

Headstart Events are proud to be the original designers & creators behind this whacky concept, which first took form over 25 years ago. Since then we’ve perfected the design and currently own the largest known version in the world with a fully inflatable base.

 

The pitch in question is enormous and has to be seen to be believed. It has specially engineered crossbars that remain rigid while supporting the sliding players. Each player is held in place using a harness and can move left & right, but not forwards or backwards. Buffer bars protect the players in the middle and serve as springs at each end, just like on a traditional table.

 

Participants are always noisy and excitable, so we include a referee/commentary tower as standard – complete with PA system & scoreboard. To add to the spectacle, we also have a variety of different viewing platforms, in a range of sizes.

 

Every design element of this game has been thought out in great detail and perfected into the version you see today. Believe it or not, when we started out on this adventure, the first version used heavy wooden panels that screwed together and ropes instead of bars.
